Grey 2002 Honda Odyssey mini-van in great shape. 154,500 miles; single owner. Two brand new tires, new alternator, very clean. Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to my 2002 Honda Odyssey (affectionately nicknamed grandma). Someone close to me, who shall remain nameless, (my wife), has determined that my van is unreliable, (although grandma has never left me or any member of my family stranded, NEVER!). My wife concluded that my van is unreliable because grandma is 209,434 miles old. So, I reluctantly agreed to put her up for sale with the understanding that I would list all of the reasons why you would be crazy to buy this van. #1: If you listen closely, she briefly cries when you start her up and then sighs when you turn her off. #2: Her front headlight lenses are foggy. I took her to a detailer who recommended smearing an abrasive compound in her eyes (I mean on her lenses) and then using a power tool to remove the build up. Can you imagine the pain that would cause? I sure hope you do because, if you know what good for you, you would never do that to my beloved van! #3: The paint is faded and she has dings and scratches because grandma has a temper and got into a few scuffles with other cars, telephone poles and other inanimate objects. #4: She has electrical problems. The right rear vent window occasionally falters and this could be an early sign of future catastrophic electrical failure, so beware. #5: She get's anxious especially when you drive above 65 mph because the whole van begins to shake, like "chip your teeth" type of shake. #6: She has moderate to severe arthritis as evidenced by the profound squeaky noise when driving over normal road conditions. #7: The interior, simultaneously, smells like old cheese, vomit, urine and diarrhea. Why? Because we raised 3 children who, also simultaneously, would spill milk while vomiting and pooping/peeing above and below there supposedly "super absorbent" disposable diapers! #8: There is a mysterious fluid leaking from her undercarriage, I sent a sample to the lab and it appears to be a combination of power steering fluid and oil. #9: And the last reason is price, I estimate that the nuts and bolts and all of the parts that comprise this van, in her current condition, to be valued at $1,195. However, when you consider how loyal she has been and all of the memories that were created while she served our family the price is firm at $1,999.
